I feel ready though. I feel more prepared than I have in a while, and I feel like God is in control. It's a really good feeling.

Pre-Admissions
Today I had pre-admissions testing. This was a big deal for me for multiple reasons. I had to get blood drawn first of all. blah. I hate having blood drawn, and they had a hard time finding a vain which made it worse. It was also just the very large reminder that in a matter of a week and a few days i'll be having surgery.

The Injury
On my youth group ski trip in 2010 I fell getting off the ski life and injured my knee. It was weak for quite a while and I even went through some physical therapy (P.T.). But eventually I decided to just live with it, I'd be fine.
This winter my youth group was doing a ski school and I of course was a part of it. The 3rd week I fell and all the pain I felt was in my knee. It was excruciating. But I was able to get up and walk it off. kind of. We still ended up at the doctor, where I was told to wear a brace for a week and see how it was. It was fine, I thought I'd skip a week of skiing and be back to normal.
On super bowl sunday Katie, Matt, and I were watching the game at my dad's house. Katie and I were being stupid and goofing off trying to touch the ceiling. I of course had to go and jump and try ONE more time. When I landed I felt me knee go completely sideways. I fell back into a wall and collapsed one the floor.
I'm not going to go into all the horrible details of that night, but it was LONG, hard and painful. 2 days later I'd had an MRI and been diagnosed with a completely torn ACL, partially torn MCL, and partially torn meniscus.
Since then I have gone through P.T. and many other things and now, surgery is only 2 weeks away!
Another One
I know exactly what you guys are thinking....ANOTHER blog. Ha. I realize I have like 10. But this one is for specific use for my ACL injury, I know I have family members that want to be kept up to date on this, and you'd be amazed at how popular ACL journals are:) So here we GO!
